3 common reasons of why the clients choose infills and skip new set, based on our observations from the past, current, and ongoing cases:
- Time management. The new set requires 3 hours versus infills ranging from 50~70minutes. More customers prefer a short time during their lunch break or after work.
- Secondly, if infills are not available service — customer has to wait for complete retention requiring some maintenance and possible risk of application of cosmetics, which contribute to more debris.
- Lastly, customers simply prefer affordable rates in this economy, which is totally understandable and completely human. We do not judge anyone's price preference. It is in our interest to ensure and provide quality service.

Beyond these three aspects, we also recognise the importance of understanding the individual client's needs and expectations
Every lash set has its own growth cycle, retention pattern, and maintenance requirements. Infills allow us to work with the existing extensions while maintaining a consistent appearance, provided that the remaining lashes are suitable for maintenance and the application is performed correctly.
It is also important to understand that infills are not simply a faster or more affordable alternative to a new set. They are a separate service that requires knowledge of lash growth, correct isolation, safe removal of outgrown extensions, and the ability to assess the condition of the existing work. Knowing when to perform an infill and when a fresh set is more appropriate is part of providing a professional service.

Our conclusion is not that one approach is better than another, but that the industry must be able to adapt
Different markets develop different expectations, and what works well in one country may not necessarily reflect the needs of customers in another. By understanding these differences, we can continue to develop our skills, offer suitable services, and maintain professional standards without losing sight of what matters most: the client's needs, comfort, and long-term lash health.
